Our Story
ESG Analytics was born out of frustration with the current state of ESG. Conflicting ratings, terrible user interfaces and a general lack of data was not making the task of integrating ESG considerations to the world any easier.
When we looked at the current range of ESG funds, we saw a lack of creativity, with extreme reliance on corporate disclosed data which in turn informed external ESG ratings. The surprising truth is that only a small portion of the world investable universe is covered, and companies disclose data infrequently, if at all.
We made a decision to leverage our data skills to target an 'outside-in' perspective, looking at alternative sources of data to determine company ESG performance and to bring all of this data into a platform that would be useful, cost-effective and engaging to use. The result is ESG Analytics.
